This course intends to provide a deep knowledge about the ground water exploration, groundwater extraction through wells, design of wells and other pumping equipments.
The main Objectives of this course are:
- To equip and acquit the students with the occurrence, development and hydraulics of ground water flow.
- To understand the theories and application of wells and pumps.
- To impart knowledge in areas of water supply and groundwater development.
Lwre 1102 Environmental Studies and Disaster Management (2+1)
To understand the natural environment and its relationships with human activities and
to characterize and analyze human impacts on the environment. Design and evaluate strategies, technologies, and methods for sustainable management of

Lwre 3107 Water Harvesting and Soil Conservation Structures (2+1)
This course is intended for enabling the students to get a detailed understanding of various water harvesting techniques and water conservation structures.
The main objective of this course is;
-To familiarise the water harvesting techniques based on source, storage and use and also introduce the soil and water conservation structures.
-To impart awareness on the design requirements, planning for design, design procedures
such as hydrologic, hydraulic and structural design and stability analysis of different
structures.
